About us:

History of  AZ FuturePRO

AZ FuturePRO was founded by Dr. Mike Collins who, over the past eleven years, has treated hundreds of amateur and professional athletes trying to recover from sports induced injuries.  In his professional practice, Dr. Mike noticed two major problems:
1) Young athletes were not training enough to prepare their muscles, joints, and ligaments for the stresses of sport, and 2) too many young athletes were playing one sport year round.

Professional athletes have an off-season so their muscles and joints recover and so that they can improve their condition.  Young athletes especially need that off-season recovery and conditioning period!

About Dr. Mike Collins:

Dr. Mike is the Founder and Director for Athletic Training for AZ FuturePRO.
As a father of three athletic sons, Dr. Mike sought a program for his boys that would help them develop their athletic talents.  As a former college football player, he wanted his sons to play at the next level that he did, but shelling out thousands of dollars was not an option.  There simply was not an affordable training option available in Arizona, so AZ FuturePRO was born!  Dr. Mike is in private practice as a chiropractor and owner of Collins Chiropractic in Gilbert, AZ.  He is also a Nutrition Professor at The University of Phoenix.  He has been a teacher of injury prevention for 12+ years.  He resides in Gilbert with his wife and four children.

About Dr. Troy Adams:

Dr. Troy is Director of Youth Enrollment for AZ FuturePRO.
As a college baseball player, Dr. Troy learned that training for agility and balance helped his game performance.  As a result, learning how to help others improve their health and performance became the focus of his career.  His first published research paper focused on speed and acceleration with a novel training technique.  He began formally working with athletic kids nearly twenty years ago.  One of his first clients won the Texas State Tennis Championship after dramatically improving his balance and flexibility.
Dr. Troy is an American College of Sports Medicine, Health/Fitness Director, a member of the board of directors for the National Wellness Institute and editor for the American Journal of Health Promotion.  he is currently the Chief Operating Officer of Wellsteps.com.  He lives in Gilbert with his wife, two children, and dog.

Frequently Asked Questions...

Q: I have heard of similar training programs that costs as much as $1200.  How can a program that charges so little be any good?

a: Great question, for which there are three answers:
    1. The space we use costs us very little
    2. We designed this program to be the highest quality training, with the least amount of costs involved
    3. Profit is not our motive!

Q: Will there be other camps?

A: We are currently planning other camps for other sports.  We will notify you as they become available.

Q: My child does not play football.  Can we still participate?
A: Yes, the skills we teach are transferrable to other sports, especially soccer and basketball.  You may want to skip the free "SKills Drills" on Saturdays, though.  That is when we will work on football specifics.

Q: I have more than one child I would like to enroll. Can I get a family discount?
A: We want to work with your whole family.  Email us to discuss your situation.

Q: Where can I learn more about the leaders of this program?
A: Dr. Mike and Dr. Troy are both church going family men with a deep sense of civic responsibility.  We both have training in athletic performance that we have applied as players, parents, and coaches.
